"Where Arabians and Quarter Horse Rein Together"

Lois Hild, DVM
Lois grew up in Redding, CA, started riding at thirteen, and has had horses ever since. In her teen years she showed horses and rode as an assistant trainer. After graduating from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a degree in Animal Science, she attended University of California Davis Veterinary School and graduated in 1988.

She practiced small animal medicine on the Palos Verdes Peninsula until 2005 when she and her husband bought Rein Dance Farms. There she oversees the running of the facility and the care of all of its four-legged inhabitants. In her spare time she is enjoying learning the sport of reining.

Steve Hild
Steve, though born and raised in Los Angeles was attracted to horses in college and began riding. While making his living as an electrician, he competed in Team Roping on the professional rodeo circuit. Now managing Industrial High Voltage, he tries to find time for reining and occasionally still finds himself in the roping arena.

Julia Hild

Julia grew up on horseback and competed in lead line at the Portuguese Bend National Horse Show before her first birthday. While she tried her hand at English, roping, team penning, and cutting, reining became her passion. In 2007 she and her Arabian gelding, Mister Maserati, captured multiple titles, including Region 1 Championships in reining in both the amateur and open divisions, a National Championship in reining in the amateur division,  and a Top Ten finish in the open.  On her Quarter Horse, Alot A Spark, she was the 2007 National Reining Horse Association Southwest Regional Champion in the Limited Non-Pro class and came away with a third place finish at the North American Championships.

Julia Hild

She plans to complete her amateur career after the Scottsdale Arabian show in February 2008 and will take a position as an assistant trainer with a reining horse trainer in Texas.
